The Wilburman XWA Diary (The Roleplays)

Wilburman - in XWA

The story of Wilburman in XWA began when Vice Prezident Jusin of the XWA invited the Mean One down for a visit during the IWA's Winter closure. After some drinks and some probably illegal use of alcohol and gambling, Wilburman signed a short term deal with XWA.

It's not at all a bad thing, the XWA is reowned for its tough competition, and indeed as it turned out, it was the most competitive federation Wilburman had joined. This in turn helped Wilburman keep the ring rust away and sharpen his skills for the re-opening of IWA.

He debuted at XWA's December PPV Music City Meltdown as a colour commentator to many people's surprise. It wasn't known as to whether or not Wilburman was part of XWA, until he was booked into their next card... against his old girlfriend... Cobalt, Chamber's little sister. funny how old faces never seem to go away.

Wilburman won the bout after an interference from his arch nemesis Chamber. The following week he faced off in a non-title match against the XWA US Champion, Mark 'The Knife' Sharp. The bout ended in a disqualification win yet again for Wilburman due to outside interference from Sharp's arch rival Rigor Mortis.

With his impressive showing thus far, Wilburman was pitted against a former XWA World Champion, headlining Bootleg: Wilburman vs. Sigma.

The match ended in a no contest as Slater Shaw, current XWA World Champ, rushed the ring to attack both stars.

Wilburman made his XWA PPV wrestling debut against one Hammer, an established star of XWA. With the momentum going with the Mean One, Wilburman pulled off another tick in the Win column.

With the challenge mounting and competition getting more fierce, a non title 4 corners match was set with Wilburman taking on Hammer, Matt Stone and the World Champ himself, Slater Shaw. The prize? A CD compiled by the VP... don't ask.

The result of the match showed exactly why Slater Shaw is the XWA World Champion by gaining the pinfall over Hammer... but that wasn't the end of it as JC Michaels, former XWA World Champion, came out to aid his life long friend and laid a beating on everyone after the grueling match.

The opportunity for immediate revenge was presented to Wilburman as he was booked in a match with JC Michaels on the next card. Determination edged Wilburman to victory, only for Michaels' new stable, South Side Mafia, to dish out another beating after the match.

With the SSM declaring war on XWA, Wilburman and Mark Sharp were given the task of fighting JC Michaels in a tag match. JC's partner was not named, and was wearing a mask, but it didn't stop the Mean One and The Knife claiming victory against them.

After the victory, the SSM laid another beating on the XWA stars, the mystery new member of the faction were revealed as Chris Masters, another former XWA World Champion.

With his championship creditials being recognised, Wilburman was given a title match against Hammer for the XWA US Title. Unfortunately for the Mean One, the SSM member got the better of him and retained his title.

After taking a little time out to recover from the injuries sustained at the hands of the SSM, Wilburman returned with a bang, toppling Chris Masters at the PPV extravagence Aftermath, and attacking JC Michaels in his Tag Team Title match against the Revolution, pushing the new tag champion off the 15 ft ladder!!

With the XWA World title vacated, a tournament was setup, to determine the next champion. A special first round lethal tag team match up was set, as members of the roster were randomly selected to team up and face off, with the winners facing each other afterwards to progress onto the tournament. Wilburman teamed up with an impressive new comer named Tony Chapel, together they defeated the team of Hammer and Pyro. However, Tony Chapel caused a surprise upset by scoring the win over the Mean One.

Not to be discouraged, Wilburman continued his business in XWA, only to be given a short holiday all thanks to the SSM and their ambush attack.

Since then Wilburman had began working for the XWA head office and began to take it easy in the ring. But whenever the chance came, he was always partial to taking on the SSM.

In his final XWA match up, Wilburman teamed up with Eternity and Khaos to do battle once again with the SSM.

In the end of it all, Wilburman got the win he was seeking for. A final victory over SSM for the Mean Champion of Justice.

I want to thank Todd for being so patient with me when I asked for time off due to RL obligations, and I want to thank Jusin for inviting me to XWA. It was a pleasure and it has been tremendous fun.

Thanks everyone.
